The Yulin Road Folk Music Festival is a continuous event initiated by the Sichuan Music Industry Association - Folk Music Committee, representatives from the music industry, folk music creators, and residents of the Yulin community, with "folk music" as its main theme. Yulin, as a distinctive lifestyle district in Chengdu, preserves the original charm of old Chengdu while embracing contemporary life. Yulin bridges the old and new in Chengdu's urban development, forming a unique representation of Chengdu's slow-paced lifestyle.

For the visual concept of this event, we abandoned traditional single-subject creativity and initiated a more experimental design approach. We returned to the streets of Yulin, collecting text snippets that represent Yulin's life and development changes from the community, streets, shops, markets, and street vendors. Behind each snippet lies a vivid moment in Yulin's history and stories, outlining Yulin's slow-paced life, lively atmosphere, play of light and shadow, and the diversity of daily life. Similar to music, these fragmented inspirations are recompiled into new melodies and visuals.
